IFA 2026: OCJOY brings clinic-style biofilm cleaning home

OCJOY is showing its Air-Streaming Oral Cleaner at IFA 2026, a powder-assisted dental-cleaning system designed for clinics and home bathrooms. The company says the device combines air, water and edible erythritol powder to remove biofilm between teeth, around braces and along visible tooth surfaces.

The product is being presented in Berlin as a replacement for several separate steps: water flossing, brushing, polishing and mouthwash. OCJOY says the complete routine takes three minutes, though it has not disclosed the device’s US price, dimensions, battery capacity, water-tank size or shipping date.

“We measure ourselves against one benchmark: the clinic. Our mission is to close that distance — clean by clean, generation by generation.”

How the cleaning system works

OCJOY is adapting Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), a professional dental treatment developed in Switzerland and used by clinics worldwide. In the company’s description, a fine stream carries air, water and erythritol powder across the teeth. The powder is intended to reach areas a toothbrush can’t touch directly, including interdental spaces, grooves and the surfaces around orthodontic brackets and wires.

That mechanism differs from the two products OCJOY uses as comparison points. Toothbrush bristles clean only where they make contact, while water flossers can reach tight spaces but do not carry a cleaning powder. OCJOY’s system is intended to combine those functions rather than add another device to the bathroom counter.

The company claims 99% biofilm removal in laboratory testing, outperforming standard ultrasonic toothbrushes and water flossers. It also claims that the system can make teeth two to three shades brighter in three days by lifting coffee, tea and wine stains without bleach.

Those figures are company claims, not independently verified results in the supplied announcement. OCJOY does not provide the laboratory protocol, sample size, cleaning settings, definition of “standard” ultrasonic toothbrushes or water flossers, or the method used to measure tooth shade. The release also describes “built-in deep self-cleaning capabilities” and labels the product “zero maintenance.” It does not explain how the self-cleaning cycle works, what components are cleaned, how much water or powder it consumes, or whether users must eventually replace wear parts. Development and availability

OCJOY says development took four years and covered more than 30 generations of product iteration. The engineering team includes veterans of DJI, Roborock and Narwal, while clinical direction came from Sichuan University’s West China School of Stomatology. The company also cites strategic advisers with more than 20 years of commercial and industrial experience.

The device is being shown by Shenzhen Yuechi Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. at Messe Berlin, Hall H25, stand H25_187. Online preorders are scheduled to open in September 2026. Customers who pay a preorder deposit will receive VIP pricing and one year of dental powder, which OCJOY values at $100.

The offer makes the powder a central part of the ownership model, but the announcement does not state how much the cleaner itself will cost or whether the $100 powder value represents a standard retail price. It also does not say when orders will ship, whether the product will be available in the United States, or whether its clinical-style cleaning system requires region-specific regulatory clearance.

The IFA demonstration describes the product’s intended mechanism and preorder plan, but not its retail proposition. Pricing, consumable details and the test conditions behind the 99% claim remain unpublished.
