for(geeks) is an independent digital tech publication for the people building the next generation of companies — founders, software engineers, product operators, and venture investors.

We cover artificial intelligence, startup funding, cloud and enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and the hardware underneath all of it. Every story is selected on one test: does a reader working in this field learn something they could act on. Stories that only restate an announcement everyone else already published do not run.

Editorial standards

We hold to conventional editorial standards: claims are attributed, figures come from the source that published them, and the stage of an announcement is not upgraded in the retelling — a pilot stays a pilot. We work from primary documents wherever a story has them, we credit and link the publication whose original reporting a story rests on, and what we cannot establish we say we cannot establish. When we get a fact wrong we correct it in public, with a date and a note saying what changed. Nobody outside for(geeks) — advertiser, vendor or agency — sees a story before it runs.

Who is responsible

for(geeks) is edited by Sergey Kuznetsov, Editor-in-Chief, who sets its editorial standards and is responsible for everything it publishes. Stories are filed under coverage areas — from AI and security to phones, computing and the smart home — listed on the authors page. We write for a United States audience: prices in dollars, availability and regulation as they apply in the US, and the question of whether a reader there can actually buy or use the thing.
