IFA 2026: Tineco pushes hands-free floor cleaning

Tineco has announced its IFA 2026 showcase in Berlin, where the ECOVACS Group brand will present floor washers, cordless vacuums, carpet-cleaning systems and Smart Kitchen products under the slogan “The Future Cleans Itself.” The display is scheduled for September 4–8, 2026, at Hall 9, Booth 113.

The announcement is less about one named product than about how much of the cleaning cycle Tineco wants its devices to handle without user input. Its “Tineco Floor Washer: Every Generation, A New Definition” approach covers dirt detection, automatic adjustment of cleaning parameters, dust handling and maintenance after a cleaning session.

That puts sensors and dock-based automation at the center of the showcase. Tineco says its systems can respond to detected conditions, adjust performance during cleaning, and run self-cleaning and drying cycles afterward. The release does not identify the sensors, processing hardware, detection thresholds or response times, so the limits of that automation are not yet clear.

Floor washers lead the showcase

The largest part of the booth will focus on wet-and-dry floor washers, which combine water-based mopping with suction for hard floors. Tineco says the IFA lineup will include high-temperature steam technology and intelligent self-cleaning systems aimed at stubborn dirt and simpler post-use maintenance.

High-temperature steam, suction and automated maintenance address different parts of the problem. Steam is intended to help with difficult residue, suction removes water and debris, and the dock or appliance can clean and dry its own components after use. Tineco has not disclosed steam temperatures, suction figures, tank capacities, drying times, noise levels or prices for the devices planned for IFA 2026.

The company says its floor-washer systems are designed to reduce interruptions throughout a session rather than simply increase cleaning power. Without published measurements, the announcement establishes an automation strategy, not a verified performance improvement over existing Tineco models or competing wet-and-dry cleaners.

Cordless vacuums, textiles and the move into kitchens

Tineco will also show cordless vacuums with smart stations and more advanced dust-collection systems. The stated goal is to reduce direct contact with dust during emptying and routine maintenance. The materials supplied do not specify whether the stations use disposable bags, how much dust they hold, or how often users must service them.

For carpets and rugs, Tineco is combining high-temperature steam, suction and intelligent drying. Automated drying is meant to reduce the wait after washing textiles, but the company has not provided a drying-time figure or identified which products will be sold in the United States.

The booth will extend beyond floor care into Smart Kitchen, a category Tineco is presenting as part of a broader home-technology ecosystem. No Smart Kitchen product names, specifications, prices or US release dates were provided. For American buyers, availability is unresolved; the announcement confirms an IFA showcase, not a US launch.

Tineco also describes itself as the world’s No. 1 brand in household wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners for the fourth consecutive year. The claim is based on Euromonitor International research completed in March 2026, using global retail unit sales for 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Tineco’s definition covers household devices that dispense clean water or cleaning solution onto hard floors and then suction dirty water and debris. The announcement does not publish the underlying unit totals or identify the competing brands in that ranking.

IFA’s focus on automation fits the broader smart-home emphasis we previously identified for the show. Tineco’s pitch focuses on removing manual work before, during and after cleaning. The announcement still lacks product-by-product specifications, prices and a confirmed US shipping schedule for the devices it plans to present in Berlin.
