IFA 2026: ECOVACS takes its robots beyond the floor
ECOVACS showed window, lawn, floor and pool robots at IFA 2026, backed by 38 million households and a strategy built around reusable technology.

ECOVACS used IFA 2026 in Berlin to show how it plans to turn home robotics into a broader platform: the company demonstrated robots for floors, windows, lawns and pools, rather than limiting its lineup to vacuum cleaners.
The company says its service robots now reach more than 38 million households across nearly 180 markets. It also promoted a newly released Forbes China research report that named ECOVACS the global No. 1 home robotics brand. That claim covers multiple categories, while a separate IDC measure places ECOVACS first in robotic window-cleaner shipments.
ECOVACS is exhibiting in Hall 9, Booth 113 at Messe Berlin during IFA, which runs from September 4 through September 8, 2026. The company has not provided US pricing or a US release schedule for the products shown.

Four categories, four different mechanical problems
The products on display are not a single robot with interchangeable attachments. Each uses a different approach to a task that is difficult to automate: keeping a wiping pad clean on a vertical surface, reaching lawn edges, removing dirt without redistributing it across a floor, or navigating a pool with limited user input.

The WINBOT W3 OMNI addresses maintenance around the robot itself. Its Vortex Wash system automatically cleans the wiping pad, targeting a failure point in window-cleaning robots: the pad becomes dirty, but the user still has to remove and wash it. ECOVACS says more than 1.5 million households worldwide use WINBOT products.
IDC data cited by the company ranks ECOVACS No. 1 globally in window-cleaner shipments from 2023 through the third quarter of 2025. That is a category-specific shipment ranking, not the same measurement as the broader Forbes China brand designation.
The GOAT T Series moves the company outdoors. Its TruEdge Trimmer is designed to cut close to lawn borders, while HoloScope 360 Dual-LiDAR Navigation is intended to help the mower operate across different yard layouts. ECOVACS says GOAT robotic lawn mowers have covered nearly 1.4 billion square meters of lawn globally—roughly 200,000 standard soccer pitches.
For floor care, the DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone uses the latest OZMO ROLLER 3.0 system. ECOVACS describes the design as combining cleaning pressure with continuous self-washing, so the roller is rinsed as it operates instead of carrying collected dirt through the rest of the cleaning cycle. Models equipped with OZMO ROLLER technology have reached more than 2.8 million cumulative global shipments as of July 2026, based on ECOVACS' internal data. The technology was introduced globally in September 2024.
The ULTRAMARINE L1 PRO extends the same automation pitch to pool maintenance. ECOVACS says it can autonomously navigate and clean different pool environments with minimal user intervention, but the announcement does not provide battery life, navigation sensors, cleaning coverage, or a price.
ECOVACS' platform strategy
The company says it can reuse about 80% of its core technologies and adapt the remaining 20% for each scenario. That does not mean the products share the same cleaning hardware: a pool robot and a window robot have different physical constraints. The claimed reuse instead applies to underlying capabilities such as robotics, sensing, motion control, cleaning systems and power management.
“The future of home robotics is not about adding more products. It is about giving people more freedom from everyday tasks. By reusing around 80% of our core technologies and adapting 20% to each scenario, we can bring robotics from floors and windows to lawns and pools. Looking ahead, we will continue to innovate to make robotics more intelligent, autonomous and accessible, helping more people enjoy an easier everyday life.”
That approach is supported by more than 900 R&D professionals, RMB 554 million in R&D investment during the first half of 2026, and more than 3,100 patents. ECOVACS also points to a vertically integrated R&D and manufacturing model, saying it gives the company more control over core robotics technologies and helps it adapt them across product categories.
The distinction is between a shared software and engineering stack and a shared consumer product. ECOVACS is not claiming that one platform can make every category identical; it is arguing that common work in sensing, control and power management reduces the cost and time of entering adjacent categories. The announcement does not break out how much of any individual product is shared, nor does it identify which components make up the claimed 80%.
Growth is coming from outside floor care
ECOVACS reported that global service-robot shipments rose 44.1% year over year in the first half of 2026. Revenue from newer international categories—including robotic window cleaners, robotic lawn mowers and robotic pool cleaners—increased 75.1% during the same period.
International markets accounted for 51% of total revenue in the second quarter of 2026, the first time they represented more than half of the company’s revenue. The expansion is intended to help ECOVACS grow outside its established floor-care business, and the company says its newer products are contributing to that growth.

The international milestone is relevant to US buyers, but it does not establish that the IFA products are available in the United States. ECOVACS has sales subsidiaries in Germany, the United States, Japan and Singapore, while the event announcement leaves product-by-product US pricing, launch dates and configurations unresolved.
ECOVACS' broader lineup also makes the distinction between categories matter. Robotic vacuums compete for attention in a crowded floor-care market, while window, lawn and pool robots introduce different installation, safety and maintenance requirements. The company’s own figures do not provide independent performance results for the W3 OMNI, GOAT T Series, X12S OmniCyclone or ULTRAMARINE L1 PRO.
