Fairphone 6+ leak points to modest chip upgrade
A leak points to the Fairphone 6+ gaining 12GB of RAM, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 performance and a Cobalt Blue finish.

The Fairphone 6+ will reportedly bring more than a RAM bump and a new finish. A leaked specification sheet, internal “exploded view,” and promotional video posted by GSM Arena point to a switch in chipsets, though the performance gains appear modest.
The Plus model is expected to use 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up from 8GB in the original Fairphone 6. Storage remains unchanged at 256GB of UFS 3.1, with a microSD card slot still included.
The larger hardware change is the move from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Qualcomm claims the newer chip delivers 7% faster CPU and GPU performance, while its redesigned NPU is intended to improve AI workloads.
That leaves the Fairphone 6+ as a relatively conservative upgrade: more memory, a newer processor, and a new color. Cobalt Blue will join Horizon Black and Forest Green; Cloud White reportedly will not be offered.
Fairphone has not announced the phone’s price. The current Fairphone 6 costs €550 on the company’s official website, and GSM Arena expects the Plus model to cost more because of higher RAM costs, but the amount remains unknown. The leak was posted by EvLeaks on August 10, 2026.
