A personalized ChatGPT itinerary helped one Anime NYC attendee organize three days of panels, screenings, autograph sessions and special events around their favorite anime and manga. The experiment was reported by Tom’s Guide.

The goal was practical: avoid leaving the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center having missed a must-see event. Instead of manually combining event pages, maps and schedules, the attendee gave ChatGPT a list of favorite franchises, the days they planned to attend Anime NYC 2026, and a request for a customized plan.

The prompt included Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, The Ghost in the Shell (2026 series), Gachiakuta, Kagurabachi, Kaiju No. 8, Dan Da Dan, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer and Sailor Moon.

Within minutes, the chatbot prioritized events tied to those interests, including:

Not every listed franchise had its own Anime NYC panel or screening. ChatGPT instead filled the itinerary with related appearances and other convention activities.

The resulting schedule focused on the attendee’s available dates:

The plan does not solve capacity limits, sold-out panels or autograph queues. It does, however, reduce the time needed to turn a large convention schedule into something tailored to a particular fan’s priorities.

The same method could be applied to Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, Dragon Con, PAX, Star Wars Celebration or Gen Con: provide ChatGPT with personal interests, the convention schedule and attendance preferences, then use its output as a planning layer alongside the official event app. The official schedule remains necessary for checking details, but the chatbot can surface relevant events without requiring fans to manually compare every listing.
